Muscat, 2 Feb (ONA) — The Oman and Hungary Business Forum, organized by the Embassy of Hungary, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), today explored ways of enhancing investment and commercial exchange between the two countries.

The forum also discussed the establishment of partnerships between Omani and Hungarian businessmen. It was attended by Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA).

Investment opportunities available in the economic diversification sectors of Oman Vision 2040 were reviewed by Aseela Salim Al Samsami, Investment Promotion Undersecretary.

In her statement, Aseela also showcased the incentives offered by the Sultanate of Oman to investors.

On his turn, Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Hungary, stressed the significance of investment and commercial exchange between Oman and Hungary. He said that emphasis is laid on quality investments.

During the forum, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding between OHI Group and Er-Petro of Hungary.
