Makers Oman Center Joins Global Entrepreneurship Week 2021 To Boost Innovation, Creativity

Nizwa, 8 Dec (ONA) — Makers Oman Center at Innovation Park Muscat of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation in cooperation with the University of Nizwa hosted workshops on student innovations and how to create prototypes for innovative ideas, as well as other activities, as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2021, with the participation of more than 40 student companies and entrepreneurs.

 

The event included a variety of applied workshops in the areas of innovation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, such as smart manufacturing of innovations, product development, external shaping through the use of modern devices and 3D printing techniques available in the center, woodworking, metalworking and others. There were also lectures in the field of intellectual property rights preservation, innovation incubators and many more topics.

 

Eng. Hilal Nasser Al Shibli, Director General of Makers Oman Centre, stated that these events are held within the framework of cooperation and partnership between the center and the local community institutions, as the goals and roles of the center are in line with the objectives of the Global Entrepreneurship Week celebrations organized by the University of Nizwa. He affirmed that Makers Oman Center aims to continue to enhance the development of creativity and innovation as well as the transformation towards a knowledge economy in the Sultanate of Oman.
