Finance Committee Considers Adding Insurance, Risk Management Syllabi to Banking College Curricula

Muscat, 15 Dec (ONA)—The Finance and Insurance Committee at Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) held a meeting during which it discussed updates on keeping a representative of the OCCI at the board of the College of Banking and Financial Studies, as well as adding insurance and risk management syllabi to the college’s curricula.
The meeting, held at the OCCI’s premises here, was chaired by Murtadha Mohammed Al Jamalani, head of the committee, and attended by representatives of banks, insurance and fiancé companies and government establishments concerned.
The meeting also discussed “A Borrowers’ Unified Life Insurance Policy” drafted by the Central Bank of Oman and the Capital Market Authority, among other issues.
