Muscat, 27 Jul (ONA) —— A 3D printing with concrete facility in Ghala Industrial Area was established by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Innotech and Galfar Engineering and Contracting.
The project comes within the framework of an agreement signed in May 2021 for R&D in 3D printing with concrete in Oman which will increase the local added value and boost the partnership between private sector institutions.
This step represents a qualitative shift in the construction sector as it provides a sustainable alternative to traditional building methods. It will also contribute to accelerating the construction processes and reduce waste, in addition to enabling skilled Omani cadres.
PDO supported this initiative by providing its technical expertise, identifying opportunities and managing the project.
